Privacy Policy

Card lookup details. When you check a card balance, you submit the card number, expiration date, and CVV printed on your gift card. We use these only to find your card and verify you possess it.

Technical data. Our servers receive your IP address and basic request metadata (browser type, timestamp) so we can prevent abuse and keep the service running. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Support correspondence. If you email or call us, we keep the message and the contact details you provide so we can respond and follow up.

• We do not require an account, email, name, or password to check a balance.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketers.
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

Card numbers are stored as one-way HMAC fingerprints, not as recoverable values. CVVs are stored as bcrypt hashes. Neither can be reversed to recover the original. The only field stored in plain text is the expiration date, which by itself reveals nothing about the card.

The submission you make on the balance-check form is processed in memory, used to perform the lookup, and discarded. We do not log the card number, expiration, or CVV from inbound requests.

• Card records are kept for the life of the card plus seven years for accounting purposes, or until you ask us to delete them and we are legally allowed to.
• Server access logs are kept for up to 30 days.
• Support emails are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@giftcardsmall.com from the address associated with your card or support history. We will respond within 30 days.

GiftCardsMall Balance is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used our service, contact us and we will delete the relevant records.

We will update this page if our practices change, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes we will also note the change on the home page for a reasonable period.
